Gas is a normal phenomenon. It is not considered as an illness or any disease. But excessive gas in the abdomen causes a lot of discomfort and sometimes social embarrassment .

This excessive gas can cause bloating and stomach pain which is really awful. The root cause of abdominal gas is the fermentation of undigested foods by the bacteria in the large intestine. When you swallow air while eating, it also adds to gas formation in the abdomen.

Gas Pain Treatment

Intestinal gas is mainly responsible for the stomach ache. Due to the severe pain caused by the gas in the intestines, it is very important to find a reliable and effective gas pain treatment remedy. So,we are presenting here some of the time-tested gas pain treatment remedies.

Remedy #1: Carom seeds + Rock salt .Take 100 grams Carom seeds and 50 grams rock salt . Grind and mix these . Take 3 grams of the mixed powder with lukewarm water. It is a very effective home remedy for gas pain treatment.

Remedy #2: 1 tbsp ginger juice + 1 tbsp lemon juice + ½ tsp black pepper powder. Mix all these and take this mixture with 1cup of lukewarm water to get quick relief from gas pain. This is a very beneficial home remedy for gas pain.

Remedy #3: Apple cider vinegar. Add 2-3 tbsp of Apple cider vinegar into 1 cup of water and drink the solution.It is a reliable home remedy for gas pains.

Remedy #4: Yellow mustard. Eating 1tsp of yellow mustard also provides relief from gas pains.It is a very useful home remedy for gas pain treatment.

Remedy #5: Chamomile tea. It improves digestion of food and removes the gases, thus relieving from gas pain. A very simple and natural gas pain treatment.

Common Causes of Gas

Some of the common causes of gas are:

  • Overeating
  • Swallowing air while eating
  • Consumption of gassy foods
  • Lactose intolerance
  • Fructose intolerance
  • Constipation
  • Eating hard to digest foods
  • Less physical activity

What to avoid in gas pain?

Try to avoid these to avoid gas pain:

  • Avoid eating or drinking too fast.
  • Avoid sleeping immediately after meals.
  • Don’t talk while eating.
  • Avoid sodas as they can increase intestinal gas.
  • Avoid gassy foods like cauliflower, potatoes, milk, beans, broccoli, onions, cabbage,whole grains, fried dishes etc.
  • Avoid chewing gums.
  • Avoid smoking.
